‘Twas David cursed by Shimei,
He wouldn’t let them hurt the guy…
But he said to his son
King Solomon,
Restrict him so that one day he’ll die.

Since David thought his sin the worst,
Shimei could go on with his curse…
Perhaps David’s God
Used him as a prod
Of consequences adverse?
