A FRIEND’S MISTAKEN VIEW

Somewhere in his past,

Latched onto impressions crass…

After breakup

He thought he could up

And as a “friend”–make another pass!

Exes don’t want to be friends,

They want AWAY from those ends…

Rather someone new–

Their previous blew

His chance to make amends.

Was it a love song he heard,

That he claimed word-for=word…

Whatever, the pain

He didn’t need to gain,

When some were justifiably disturbed!

A mistaken assumption for years,

Could have prevented tears…

If someone heard

That idea and stirred

Him to reject foolish ideas!

(He had no close peers?)
