It’s Sunday, Christmas Eve,

Not all presents received…

Hard to check for them

At one am,

We’ll go with what we have–we do believe.

–

Our BIG PRESENT arrived long ago,

In a manger, without any snow*…

We celebrate now

Singing carols loud,

We gotta celebrate SOMETIME, yo know!

–

Scholars say April more likely

Is the time of Christ’s birth, just slightly…

Off by a mile

But all the while,

In cold and dark winter we witness mightily!

–

Or at least we should if not caught

By cultural/commercial onslaught…

Doing for our kids

As did the Druids,

Preaching as Christ preacheth nogt!

–

“T-minus” one day to Christmas,

Preparing your hearts for forgiveness…

Of kids and wife

And all who in this life

Insist on giving you bad business?

–

Many don’t know where to turn,

Let the Holy Babe teach to discern…

One spirit from the Other

And to love all as brother,

Sister and them of you in return!

–
Believe in this son of Light,

Life that shines out bright…

Barriers torn

Between humans and God formerly out of sight!
