Loving Father

Loving Father
Loving Father, have mercy on me
In accord with your endless love;
Out of your overflowing mercy
Wipe out all of my disobedience.
From my sinful heart, purge me
Cleanse me of my evil ways!
You have shown me my wrong
They’re a trouble to my heart.
I have sinned and done wrong;
Against you, the very one I love.
Blameless and just are your laws,
Your words are true and strong.
I was conceived in wickedness
In sin my mother did bear me.
Lord, you delight in truth alone;
And of my life I’ve made a mess,
Please grant me your wisdom,
To follow in your way of love.
Guide me, that your truth I will know;
Remind me, so that your love I show.
Help me proclaim so others will know;
Teach me, so in your ways I will grow.
