My Weight and I

I have always had issues with my weight. Growing up, I was one of those girls who matured a bit early than the others and was a bit more muscular too. Taking ballet lessons was fine as long as I had my lessons alone, but not when I was watching the graceful and thin girls from other studios. I felt like the overweight ugly duckling in a sea of swans. This feeling of disgust stayed with me till this very day.

For awhile, I was a bit more comfortable in my own skin in my twenties. I was dating, going to clubs with friends, going to university and working part-time, but in the back of my head, I felt obese.
