TIME TO CONFESS AND REPENT

AUTHOR’S NOTE:  He’s not trying to grandstand—just admit to his guilt of certain motives and conduct and ask forgiveness of those he has wronged–whether or not they feel they were.  It is a part of his Christian belief…being reconciled to God and the ones he has wronged asking forgiveness of both.  There is a Bible basis to all this, which the author believes by faith to be the transcribed word of God to be followed and obeyed.  Especially when he doesn’t!  Questions/Comments are always welcome.

Writer of poetry,

The “fashion” got away from me…

Chasing skirts

Many women hurts,

Of this I am guilty!

Sought “readers” unsuccessfully,

The hidden motive–to see…

What interested

Where saints shouldn’t tread

And pester them endlessly!

The many unreturned visits,

Prove out how wrong is it…

I know my sin

Repenting therein,

Stop this practice is the solution exquisite!

I will  stillreach out,

In subjects not ruled out…

Walk in the flesh

Heavily risks death,

Gotta pull some hot irons out!

The upshot–some I’ll follow–

The rest–if they visit tomorrow…

I’ll respond graciously

But not the pest–not me–

I’ve sinned–I repent in sorrow!

My actions toward those of whom I’ve spoken,

From now on–contact is broken…

This I must do

So they’ll feel safe too,

No need of me in their business poking.

STRANGER THINGS…

Stranger outcomes happen,

When opportunity’s tapping,

Wanting in

And you begin

Writing ideas you’re trapping!

He’s written ’bout Christ and trains–

Weather seems worth one’s pains….

Fashion poems are new

As something to do,

And the challenge takes working brains!

I’d say it is channeling energy,

Most of which has left me….

Shapes and sizes

And stylish surmises,

Still need a bard’s entrée.

“An eye for the women.” one said,

Focusing on their clothes instead..

“Clothes make the man”

And women, and can

Leave little more to be said!

YET–a poet describes,

Details that emanate vibes…

Along a track

That likes feedback,

Both positive and wise!

A REAL SHOCK I AM?

Finding a nearly-sixty-year-old,

Fashion poet leaves some rather cold…

A shock to see

The  elderly,

Actively trends they behold!

He sin’t always a saint,

But postive pictures he’ll paint…

Good exposure and pride

Knowing someone’s on their side,

Hoping his maleness isn’t a taint!

Again he must balance his views,

Determined to spread good news…

His challenge is to write

Poetic fashion insight,

Though alas, bias for certain styles–skews!

A fan of the button-up blouse,

It’s clean lines he’ll endorse…

Other styles

He compiles,

To show what they are, of course!

BEAUTIFUL HUMAN CLOTHES MODEL!

Notice in the street,

Comments on clothes you meet…

Bring offense

And a person’s defense,

On remarking their fashion is sweet!

Women do this all the time,

Acceptable with little crying…

But a man

Threatens and can,

Be thought too personally prying!

So glad that Demi Monde

And others don’t mind my response…

Half-way ’round the world

she’s a pretty safe girl,

No way I’d swim that “pond”.

Being nearly sixty years-old,

I suppose I’m being bold…

If I earn their trust

I never will bust,

Out of my harness until I’m too old!

TAKES COURAGE AND ENCOURAGEMENT!

It must take courage to pose,

In plain or fancy clothes…

The public eye

(including guys),

In essence the whole world she shows!

More for a purpose than money–

Some responses are  rummy–

Courageous means

Fulfilling fond dreams,

Good reason to flatten that tummy!

Amateurs know whom they are,

Accepting themselves above par…

Not letting shape

Become like red tape,

But showing we all can star!

NOT JUST FOR US?

Fashionists show,

The front of themselves (oh NO!)…

Pointing to pins

Jewels and hems,

Now, how does this blouse go?

Women need to see,

Their own bodies as healthy…

Accepting shapes–

Breast and waist–

And yes–sometimes men’s revelry!

Especially, does this fit,

Is it too ornamented, to wit…

Does anything

Show through distracting,

How well it this skirt with it?

LOVELY JEANS SO YOUNG

Lovely jeans so young,

Flaunting their curves is fun…

They’ll flop and fly

By the age I,

Enjoy seeing jeans so young!

How is it girls learn their tush,

Can pose in provocative push…

Body pride

Appreciatively eyed,

Leaves in a comparative rush.

Oh, being young and limber,

Shivering men’s timbers…

There’ll be a time

That this was prime,

In youth’s dying embers!

TAKING THE RISK FOR LOVE

Jumping. risking much,

Not getting stuck in the clutch…

Breaking free

For love lives in thee,

Jump-starts your spirit so much!

Love comes all shapes and sizes,

In friends as closeness rises….

Not all will

Allow closer still,

Some don’t want surprises!

Given opportunity,

Start out merely friendly…

Speed is scary

And unnecessary,

Relax and let things be!

UNLIKELY TO BE LOVING YOU

(Fictional)

Unlikely to love you,

Although He’s tempted to…

You fill his eyes

with love disguised,

The problem is–it’s mot true!

Your loveliness holds him fast,

Professing love you’d be the last…

Earnestly seeking

The handsome man peeking,

With this one it’s a task!

He rips apart his love,

Tearfully leaving his dove…

Who cares not for him

In ambition,

She pushes him with her shove.

Beauty becomes a bane,

Left for the vain…

He finds a girl

who with him will curl

and never looks back but in pain.

WHAT I’VE BEEN DOING

going back to the beginning

to a blogger’s first inning…

seeing how they

Developed (what way?),

And what sort of tale they were spinning.

This woman’s fashion blog,

A lot of interest logged…

Beginnings viewed

by one or two,

But clearly potential they saw!

Her photos started out small,

A learning curve traveled by all…

Some were sideways

Just one of them days,

But now her blogging brings awe!
