ANTI-P.C. MODEL RAILROADING?

He going back a few years

When people held fewer fears…

About burning coal

For energy goals,

When a coal train regularly appears!

Not using behemoth power,

A giant producing huge watts-per-hour…

But a cool RS-1

To getĀ  the job done,

Or a steam engine with cinder shower!

Close down this plant—Why?

So you got a little smut in your eye…

Berry bushes poke through–

Gonna wipe out thorn bushes, too?

Expensive scrubbers can clean up the sky.

Most of all–coal trains bring jobs,

Labor and wind farms at odds…

How many men

Does solar need attend,

Its labor needs at large?

Moving coal cars is fun,

As models–not the real ones–

Although on my pike

I’ll do what I like,

But not with the same need of funds!

THE GRASS OF THE FIELD…

(See Matthew 6:30, and surrounding verses)

Fine figures and fashions

Ignite our human passions…

Clothes fitting right

A welcome sight,

On any social occasion!

Yet the human soul

Doesn’t need clothes to be whole…

If you think “nude”

Understanding is skewed,

Our coverings need not be droll!

Whom are you depending on?

On this side or the other of the “pond”…

The Lord Most High

Is “my guy”,

The Christ is the One.

Whom do you serve,

Bob Dylan observed…

That all flesh

With the Devil will mesh,

Unless God is served.

Focus on God through others,

Unbelievers are sisters and brothers…

All in God’s image made

Their sin price He paid,

Why their chances to know God we smother?

All men (humans) are like grass,*

how quickly a life will pass…

See Christ today–

Don’t walk away–

Who knows when one breathes their last?

OVERWHELMING IN LIFE

Spaghetti hits the fan,

Whatever goes wrong–can…

Letting things slide

Like suicide,

Leaves very little planned.

Brought it all on his head,

The wife’s got her own head…

Why try

Tired of the strive,

He wants to go back to bed.

Blames himself he’s isolated,

No confidant located…

But those for hire–

Credit’s expired–

In fewer discussions he’s participated!

Why anyone would stay,

He wants to hide away…

Have to muddle through–

Make an attempt to–

Would anyone pray?

–Jonathan Caswell

WE TRUSTED YOU!

Mr. Trump we trusted you so,

But your team members’ greed will blow…

The good advertised

To be capsized,

By Liberal telling by show!

We’re not totally turned,

But trust’s a commodity earned…

A fire strom—

But you’ve been warned–

Is it too later for you to have learned?

Open disclosure now

With apologies maay just slow…

The forming lynch mob

And save your job,

Before you become butchered cow!

–JonathanĀ Ā  Caswell

An opinion post–the author’s!

DAY-BY-DAY GOD LEADS

After the Child was born,

Joseph was duly warned….

Warned in a dream

Of Herod’s blood scheme,

Traveling far from harm!

Believers today face the same,

Sudden deliverance named…

Listen each day

Finding the way,

Keeping their new faith from harm!

As Joseph, so should we,

Do what’s necessary…

Shielding one’s faith

Moving where it’s safe

Escaping Herod’s fury.

Then when The time is right,

Let Christ within you shine bright…

Obedience true

Is up to you,

If Christ would be your light!

CHURCH ATTENDANCE–A HYPOTHETICAL POEM

He rarely attends now,

It’s gone and got diff’rent somehow…

He feels pushed aside

Not welcomed inside,

No one’s been direct with him, anyhow!

They used to go faithfully,

Found the spirit there strong and free…

The Pastor moved on

And a preacher took on

Things with his own personality.

With his circle of friends,

For our subject, being close to a pastor ends…

You know his pride

Didn’t like “outside”

But he wanted to attend.

Then he and his wife

Both saw ill health in life….

Comparison

With others is sin,

And churned up internal strife!

The preacher/teacher and he,

(Too much alike?) weren’t happy…

It shifted into

“An authority over you”

Which wasn’t as healthy!

Various dissatisfactions

Led to complaints andĀ  feigned actions….

Poor communication

Led to frustration,

In mutual distraction.

So now he stays at home

Sundays, with his wife alone…

No need to go

Taken for granted so,

But he’s stuck–this was his church home.

Socially depended on her,

His wife, for communication stirred…

When she took ill

He didn’t have the will,

To see that his opening up occurred.

He’s given his life for her,

Literally as it were…

Goes it alone

Reaching out he’s done,

Elsewhere–little left at “home”.

Options to go elsewhere?

Feels bound by his wife–so there!

Decision paralyzed–

Easier to survive

By himself, ‘though few benefits to share!

A “hypothetical poem”–which means it is just a poem….!

–Jonathan Caswell

POWERFUL GRIP!!!

He wasn’t going to bring,

Until his wife’s suggesting…

With no thought

His computer brought,

It proves itself addicting!

-0

Collecting image files,

His face fixedly smiles…

In his zeal

He skips a meal,

And that is a real surprise!

To get balanced tomorrow night,

He’ll leave the thing home that night…

We hope he’s learned

When desires burn,

It can be a difficult fight!

–Jonathan Caswell

MORE COMPLICATIONS!

Went to my fave magazine,

Website for the video stream…

What they labeled “FREE”

Was just introductory

To the pay-to-view portions–that’s mean!

–Jonathan Caswell

AN EXPLANATION–THE “BLOGGERS TO AVOID” PAGE:

In form of a poem—of course!

The page, “Bloggers to Avoid.”

A subject with which I’ve toyed…

They aren’t really bad–

Just blogs that had-

Asked me their posts to void!

I have, without asking their reason,

Complied with proper completion…

Removed their posts

As a proper host,

Using the device of deletion.

Even if you like my page,

Go see the good things they have…

Really fine

Worth your time,

It’s just me they didn’t want engaged!

–Jonathan Caswell

THEY JUST DISAPPEARED!!!

She swallowed my comments TWICE,

I don’t think that was NICE…

One-sided talk–

The other side stopped–

Is really a fascistĀ  DEVICE!

Although–there is another blog–

In which my comments don’t log…

This might be a measure

To some comments treasure,

I keep my comments open–not demagogue!

They can do what they like,

I will not return a strike…

Nor delete

Any comments I meet,

Unless that is what they’d like!
