THE GRASS OF THE FIELD…

(See Matthew 6:30, and surrounding verses)

Fine figures and fashions

Ignite our human passions…

Clothes fitting right

A welcome sight,

On any social occasion!

Yet the human soul

Doesn’t need clothes to be whole…

If you think “nude”

Understanding is skewed,

Our coverings need not be droll!

Whom are you depending on?

On this side or the other of the “pond”…

The Lord Most High

Is “my guy”,

The Christ is the One.

Whom do you serve,

Bob Dylan observed…

That all flesh

With the Devil will mesh,

Unless God is served.

Focus on God through others,

Unbelievers are sisters and brothers…

All in God’s image made

Their sin price He paid,

Why their chances to know God we smother?

All men (humans) are like grass,*

how quickly a life will pass…

See Christ today–

Don’t walk away–

Who knows when one breathes their last?

THERE’S PRETTY–A PROFESSIONAL SMILE

PHOTO OF DEMI MONDE…FROM HER BLOGS FASHION LOOK BOOK.

A pretty womanly smile,

Concedes professional guile…

All that I’m saying

Is that she’s playing

A role for photographic style!

Some models always frown,

About the job they seem so down…

Being hot goods

Without smiling, who would,

Want to meet her for a while?

THIS MODEL’s both happy and proud,

When a gaggle of girls settle down…

Modeling advice

From one e’er so nice,

We’re glad having her around!

I HEARD THE LORD…

I heard the Lord call my name,

But I pulled back in horror and shame….

He mustn’t see

My humanity,

Because I’ll be blamed!

The Lord then said to me,

Believe Christ’s Deity….

Put Christ on–

Your sin is gone–

Then you can appear before ME.

Christ who lives in you,

By His Spirit shines through…

Stay under His wings

And endure all things,

God’s throne room’s wide open to you!

BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF

Part of a life inspired

Is admitting you’re tired…

An exhausted mind

Is no good acting  kind,

The engine needs stoking its fire!

STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED

So much for flexible plans,

Zia called and here I am…

Covering

Whilst he’s hovering,

Being for his family the man!

He and I go “way back”

To when we both started in fact…

Weekends served

Often un-nerved,

At first, mutual attack!

Fourteen years at the site,

I am his friend in his sight…

When I had surgery

He came to see me,

And I’m been on call–like tonight.

ACCUSTOMED REACTION

My boss stood outside

Until I had arrived…

Put two with two–

Now what did I do–

Readied for some fur flight.

Didn’t dare say a thing

Until he was asking…

Why I seemed puzzled

I wasn’t muzzled,

Say, what in my mind was turning?

Generally he’s out waiting,

For reprimand I’m anticipating…

Thought that he

Had it in for me,

Thus my hesitating!

He thought maybe I was joking–

That’s his new spot for smoking…

Melting relief

No guillotine “brief”

Away with this worry uncloaking!

A NOTE ABOUT THIS CRAZY (?) BLOG:

(In poetic form, of course!)

Many folks apparently,

Like this poetry…

But far and away

They come for the array

Of posts re-blogged by me!

I’m sorry–the fault is mine,

For so was I inclined…

Toward building a base

Of readers at a pace,

Shown to work over time.

A vast majority say

The reblogs are why they stay…

Or at least I infer

That from comments heard,

My poetry–well, it’s okay!

There are–how many?–a “few’,

Who look for my limericks too…

Separation doesn’t work–

My ego got jerked–

The experiment was through!

A ratio of four-to-one,

Or higher to which it has come…

Sometimes I regret

My impatience, yet,

It still is a lot of fun!

STANDING STILL VERSUS SITTING STILL

Says God Almighty, “Stand still”

“To see what becomes of My will…”

Deliverance comes

As one of God’s sons,

Standing ready for His will.

Sit when the journey’s complete,

Time to relax–rest the feet–

Gospel shoes on–

Be ready for the dawn–

When we our Savior will meet!

Christ has sat down,

Beside his Father crowned…

Awaiting that day

Those who stand ready are snatched away,

Then the ones ready  sit wearing crowns!

ANYTHING THAT REPLACES GOD…

Anything , anyone,

That has your focus becomes

An idol worshipped

Your God-focus slipped,

No matter how good it becomes!

Fight the good fight of faith,

Focus only on god to be safe…

Bible study time

Give you Christ’s mind,

Which no one from you can take!

God Most High is a jealous God,

He doesn’t want your leftover odd…

Bits of time

He can’t rely on,

You to honor Him as God.

God wants all of us,

Every part of our life without fuss…

You fight God

When His way you’ve barred,

And not obeying Him thus!

Be not like Those who died

In the desert because of their pride…

To the Father submit–

Allow his Spirit,

To enter before a joy-filled life’s ride!

WORSHIP EQUALS LOVE EXPRESSED!

(Ideas came from this morning’s broadcast of THE BLESSED LIFE, with Robert Morris, on DAYSTAR TV)

Worship is love expressed,

It’s said women do it best…

But as men

We act on it then,

Not as verbal as one might suggest!

We serve in our own way,

Demonstrative in quiet ways…

The Lord Most High

Was once a guy,

He was practical in His praise.

We men have to cut loose

A little, being humble in use…

In praise and prayer

Leading families there,

Raising hands and praising God–no excuse!
