WHERE IS THAT FAIRY WORLD?

Where is the fairy world now,

In cities is it absent somehow…

Quiet forest glades

In most cities can’t be made,

Not even a mooing cow!

Cities tend toward sound,

Coming from all around…

Sound and light

Throughout any night,

Pretty hard to find fairy ground!

Perhaps in garden plots,

Common owners who believe a lot…

Putting fairy houses

In hopes that arouses,

Wee folk to give it a shot.

FROM A CHARACTER WHO BLOGS POETRY…!

Advice from an “old man”

Don’t let the crowd command…

You to produce

A poor excuse,

But pick your ground and stand!

Having “LIKES” for posts is nice,

But some posts cut a deep slice…

Or folks bored

With that kind of sword,

Won’t be caught thinking twice!

Many older posts,

Look like towns with ghosts…

Not a LIKE

Or comment strike,

So much for a poet’s boasts!

–Jonathan Caswell

FIRESTORM MATERIAL–POLITICAL

Progressives and liberal thought,

Have in common aspects of a cult…

What’s in their minds

To all else blinds,

Even the adverse result!

They dote on their reality,

Make up their own legacies…

Although not True

Nothing they’ll rue–

But blame conspiracies!

These political philosophies are built.

On principles just like  cults…

A central believe

THEIR  reality’s chief,

And all others are wrong  despite result!

Thus, a new “religion”

Threatens us with its contagion…

Are you Christ’s

Or liberal acolytes,

There is no middle decision!

Yet still be advised,

No hope from the other side…

Conservatives too

Are human in view,

With much to be decried.

You Christians out there beware–

Choose either Christ or there…

Christ is real–

Liberals conceal–

Are you wheat or tares?

–An Opinion poem…based on personal study and observation of cultic behavior…and that of politically “liberal” or “progressive” believers and politicians.

TOUCHING OUR DREAMS

Illustration from the Friendly Fairy tales blog.

Hiding from life when it screams,

Off to magical scenes…

How we wish

For a mystical stitch,

To shore up all of our seams!

People choose believing

What actually is deceiving…

Taking them far

From who they are,

Another existence conceiving!

Some do this to refresh,

Write stories cherished best…

Some merely hide

Reality denied,

Until their lives again mesh.

GOD HOUSE, OH GOD HOUSE!*

Little stone pagodas,

In some garden corners…

Garden protection

By spirit direction.

Not wanting any reformers!

For those who believe,

These little houses conceived…

To spirits open

Gardeners hoping,

Blessing s are on the way!

For Christians, this garden art,

Tempts those who escaped  this part…

Of pagan belief

It is no relief,

Knowing spirits here park!

Some claim these are ornamental,

And we shouldn’t be judgmental…

If one has escaped

Being spirit chased,

Getting rid of these is fundamental!

When I see these—will they be removed?

No–each one chooses spirit truth…

We can pray

You’ll toss them away,

But it is your choice and your roof!

–Jonathan Caswell

*Please note that the subject of this poem is the author’s own opinion—no guarantees that either the provider of the illustration or anyone else believes as I do.  My friends have their own opinions and beliefs. Not everyone may be aware of what these cute stone pagodas represent, which I feel I should point out–then leave the deciding up to each person to decide for themselves!–Jonathan E. Caswell  I still love all you fellow bloggers!  🙂

UNCERTAIN RECEPTION

He drives an intersection,

Fearing sudden connection…

When he slows

Someone chose

To cut him off by their discretion.

A blind curve to the right,

Going straight with flashing yellow light….

Those at the stop sign

On his right past the line,

Pull out causing him fright!

Natural tendency

Is to slow a bit for accuracy…

His straight lay

Drops out of sight,

Beyond which it’s hard to see.

Takes his life in his hands,

Because it depends…

Will traffic opposing

Just supposing,

Put his death into their hands?

FORK LIMBO

Not talking of bent underneath,

But forks whose existence ceased…

Unexplainable

Evidence unobtainable,

The hair on this head duly creased!

Unexplained portals in time,

Is this what happened to mine?

Does a quantum mechanic

Have something for panic,

Because of something stealing him blind?

If he washes dishes,

His answer may be less suspicious…

This lazy gourmand

At the bottom of his pond,

May discover forks propitious!

RECURRING THOUGHTS

Walking from car to post,

Thoughts like recurring ghosts…

Should be tired

Of thinking I’m fired,

I get reprimanded at most!

Several times I’ve been near,

To catching it in my fear…

Two times at least

Thought I was the feast,

Praise God, somehow I’m still here!

MULTIPLE INTERPRETATIONS

When a youngster says, “classic”,

Depends on what they think fantastic…

The more educated

Have anticipated

Styles without plastic!

With ruffles and flourishes,

Classical style nourishes…

Feeding other styles

That borrow for smiles,

Which no one discourages.

Each blogger has a vision

Of what needs displaying revision…

Each works their goals

Fanning  coals,

Affecting blog decisions!

BACKYARD RAILWAY

If I were rich–I’m not–

Land taxes will be a shot…

A riding railway

I’d build to display,

‘Though maintaining it takes a lot!

I wanted to haul firewood,

But exercise does me more good…

Wheel barrow loads

Became my “railroad”,

Till we lost the land for good.
