ONLY PHONEY BALONEY?

Had to see what is true,

When media screw…

News stories

To mirror their creeds,

With an objective to undo?

Yellow and jingo once printed,

Are nothing compared to hate printed….

Open rebellion

Looks Orwellian,

By big financiers it’s rented.

FOX NEWS is giving in

To the liberal din…

Instead of balancing

Progressive thinking,

Surrender is made to their sin.

–A Political Opinion Poem–by Jonathan Caswell

GOING HOME SOON

Cold and snowy, it’s vital,

To let my car sit and idle…

Defroster in back

Doesn’t work, more the lack

Of help getting clear windows reliable!

I’ have about a half an hour,

Before relief shows up under power…

Waiting for his call

I dare not move at all,

Until I hear from him within the hour.

It’s been a fun twelve-hour shift,

Not too often did the mind drift…

Typing has been

My rescue then,

As ideas I write and sift.

PRINCESS POWER!

Women have a great billboard,

Thunderous to great accord…

Admired by all

A message stands tall,

A fun way of which we’ll never be bored!

😀

RELATIONSHIP WRECKER!

He’s bungled another one so,

Warm smiles he used to get, No

More of these–

Just pleasantries,

Takes delicate handling, you know!

BEAUTIFUL WOMEN IN WESTERNS

More and more stations  broadcast,

Westerns we thought wouldn’t last…

Heroines too,

Make this boy blue,

‘Cause when I see them, a long time has past!

(But Janey, of AtomicRedhead, is the obvious exception!)

ROLLING WONDER

Commuter traffic today,

 A wild and crazy way…

Coming to work

Past cars that twerk,

And skillfully zig-zag their way!

His speed often is steady,

Vehicles passing are many…

“Sixty” m.p.h.

Isn’t slow but makes

The rest like Mario Andretti.*

Then there are slow pokes who drive,

To make you want to skin them alive…

Riding their brake

Then signaling late,

So where did they learn to drive?

Problem is me-myself and I,

Have done each of these bye-and-bye…

Except the swerving

Which is unnerving,

Requiring coordinated hand-and -eye!

WIND CHILL OF TWENTY BELOW

We’ll take this rather than snow

And ice…at twenty below…

Some of these wind gusts

May tree branches bust,

Farenheit degrees under zero!

Worcester Schools telephoned ’round,

Tomorrow the are shutting down…

Weather-related

The message stated,

Do kids stay home or downtown?

WHY DO MY GLASSES QUICKLY DIRTY?

How many of you have dry skin,

Even dandruff…dropping…

From head and face

All over the place,

A static charge  on the lenses must win!

MY WIFE’S PICKLED BEETS… (OR HARVARD BEETS)

One of our Thanksgiving treats,

She made me “Harvard” beets…

Will have tonight–

They smell just right,

But they’re not something she eats!

I’ll warm them up a tad,

Warmed up like a Harvard grad…?

Purple stains

Are tough ingrained—

I don’t want my wife being sad!

CHURCH IS IN THE MIDDLE!

(Picture taken by the author, at the center part of his N scale train layout)

Know “Monkey in the Middle”?

With God’s house you do not fiddle…

Found a place

With just enough space,

‘Though he trimmed its courtyard a little!
