TIME TO CONFESS AND REPENT

AUTHOR’S NOTE:  He’s not trying to grandstand—just admit to his guilt of certain motives and conduct and ask forgiveness of those he has wronged–whether or not they feel they were.  It is a part of his Christian belief…being reconciled to God and the ones he has wronged asking forgiveness of both.  There is a Bible basis to all this, which the author believes by faith to be the transcribed word of God to be followed and obeyed.  Especially when he doesn’t!  Questions/Comments are always welcome.

Writer of poetry,

The “fashion” got away from me…

Chasing skirts

Many women hurts,

Of this I am guilty!

Sought “readers” unsuccessfully,

The hidden motive–to see…

What interested

Where saints shouldn’t tread

And pester them endlessly!

The many unreturned visits,

Prove out how wrong is it…

I know my sin

Repenting therein,

Stop this practice is the solution exquisite!

I will  stillreach out,

In subjects not ruled out…

Walk in the flesh

Heavily risks death,

Gotta pull some hot irons out!

The upshot–some I’ll follow–

The rest–if they visit tomorrow…

I’ll respond graciously

But not the pest–not me–

I’ve sinned–I repent in sorrow!

My actions toward those of whom I’ve spoken,

From now on–contact is broken…

This I must do

So they’ll feel safe too,

No need of me in their business poking.

WE TRUSTED YOU!

Mr. Trump we trusted you so,

But your team members’ greed will blow…

The good advertised

To be capsized,

By Liberal telling by show!

We’re not totally turned,

But trust’s a commodity earned…

A fire strom—

But you’ve been warned–

Is it too later for you to have learned?

Open disclosure now

With apologies maay just slow…

The forming lynch mob

And save your job,

Before you become butchered cow!

An opinion post–the author’s!

CHURCH ATTENDANCE–A HYPOTHETICAL POEM

He rarely attends now,

It’s gone and got diff’rent somehow…

He feels pushed aside

Not welcomed inside,

No one’s been direct with him, anyhow!

They used to go faithfully,

Found the spirit there strong and free…

The Pastor moved on

And a preacher took on

Things with his own personality.

With his circle of friends,

For our subject, being close to a pastor ends…

You know his pride

Didn’t like “outside”

But he wanted to attend.

Then he and his wife

Both saw ill health in life….

Comparison

With others is sin,

And churned up internal strife!

The preacher/teacher and he,

(Too much alike?) weren’t happy…

It shifted into

“An authority over you”

Which wasn’t as healthy!

Various dissatisfactions

Led to complaints and  feigned actions….

Poor communication

Led to frustration,

In mutual distraction.

So now he stays at home

Sundays, with his wife alone…

No need to go

Taken for granted so,

But he’s stuck–this was his church home.

Socially depended on her,

His wife, for communication stirred…

When she took ill

He didn’t have the will,

To see that his opening up occurred.

He’s given his life for her,

Literally as it were…

Goes it alone

Reaching out he’s done,

Elsewhere–little left at “home”.

Options to go elsewhere?

Feels bound by his wife–so there!

Decision paralyzed–

Easier to survive

By himself, ‘though few benefits to share!

A “hypothetical poem”–which means it is just a poem….!

JUST LIKE ITS REAL-LIFE PROTOTYPE

I’d bought a 2-8-0 steamer,

“Consolidation-type” in N scale…

I had one train circle running

And delightedly put this engine on rails!

This BOSTON AND MAINE “2-8-0”

It didn’t travel far…

Before the engine stubbed its toe

And the front wheels went ajar.

My careful but quickly laid track

Was not perfectly smooth….

And like it’s prototype,

The engine wheels hit a cross-groove!

Rough track is anathema

To models with light pilot wheels…

Even the real ones suffered

From extra tight curve squeals!

THEY JUST DISAPPEARED!!!

She swallowed my comments TWICE,

I don’t think that was NICE…

One-sided talk–

The other side stopped–

Is really a fascist  DEVICE!

Although–there is another blog–

In which my comments don’t log…

This might be a measure

To some comments treasure,

I keep my comments open–not demagogue!

They can do what they like,

I will not return a strike…

Nor delete

Any comments I meet,

Unless that is what they’d like!

FROM A CHARACTER WHO BLOGS POETRY…!

Advice from an “old man”

Don’t let the crowd command…

You to produce

A poor excuse,

But pick your ground and stand!

Having “LIKES” for posts is nice,

But some posts cut a deep slice…

Or folks bored

With that kind of sword,

Won’t be caught thinking twice!

Many older posts,

Look like towns with ghosts…

Not a LIKE

Or comment strike,

So much for a poet’s boasts!

VISITED SPRINGFIELD, VERMONT (U.S.A.)

Ostensively to interview,

A teacher’s position or two…

On the way back

Stopped by track,

Of the SPRINGFIELD TERMINAL to view!

Should have known by default,

To “snap” the unloading salt…

Trestle in place

I kind of lost face,

The error was sole my fault!

A couple of car movers only

In the engine house, looking lonely…

A man let me in

Seeing my grin,

They hauled in salt cars only.

CLOTHES DON’T MAKE WHAT YOU ARE!—TERRI SAVELLE-FOY

(Ideas from a Terri Savelle-Foy Ministries TV broadcast on DAYSTAR…7/13/17)

Terri Savelle-Foy,

Wants women to employ…

Logic to see

Identity,

Not based on clothes or a boy!

Clothes and how one dresses,

Point to inner stresses…

How do you feel

About yourself is real,

And about dressing neat or as messes!

God loves His children so ,

Most don’t realize it’s so…

Self identity

Developed poorly,

In their dressing will show.

A CENTIPEDE-MOBILE?

A railroad car of the future,

Streamlined–couldn’t be cuter…

Underpowered

And not praise-showered,

But okay for slower commuters!

A motorcar upside-down boat,

McKeen cars were of note…

Needing wide curves

Sharp ones caused nerves

To snap as it yawled like a boat.

Nineteen-oh-five to seventeen,

The finest they were to have been…

Inflexibility

Hampered ability,

To make a big dent on the scene!

AN N SCALE RS-3M-?

(Image of a Housatonic Railroad RS-3m  found on Google)

A long-held modelers’ dream,

Doing custom modeling…

Certain railroads

Extended locos,

Lives economically!

RS-3 diesel engines on the main

Were rather hard to maintain…

EMD units

In crashes came though it,

These newer engines to the RS-3 came.

The ALCO RS-3’s “two-forty-four”

Diesel engines were used no more…

They put an EMD

Into the RS-3,

Made a hybrid which lasted years more!

This modeler’s vision is fading,

Tiny N scale’s quite a lading…

Too much for me

Small parts to see,

The project he’s begun evading.
