SORRY TO BLOG AND SCRAM!

The nature of who I am,

So sorry to post and scram…

Wife want eating

Three meals completing,

I’l come back here if I can!

This blogs my poetry,

Finding mine is the key…

SEARCH:  “Caswell”–

Most are  revealed,

Written heroically!

As to the prompt–almost any–

Subject inspiring–many…

Three or four styles

Bring you smiles,

A Christian blog not like any?

–Jonathan Caswell

TIME TO CONFESS AND REPENT

AUTHOR’S NOTE:  He’s not trying to grandstand—just admit to his guilt of certain motives and conduct and ask forgiveness of those he has wronged–whether or not they feel they were.  It is a part of his Christian belief…being reconciled to God and the ones he has wronged asking forgiveness of both.  There is a Bible basis to all this, which the author believes by faith to be the transcribed word of God to be followed and obeyed.  Especially when he doesn’t!  Questions/Comments are always welcome.

Writer of poetry,

The “fashion” got away from me…

Chasing skirts

Many women hurts,

Of this I am guilty!

Sought “readers” unsuccessfully,

The hidden motive–to see…

What interested

Where saints shouldn’t tread

And pester them endlessly!

The many unreturned visits,

Prove out how wrong is it…

I know my sin

Repenting therein,

Stop this practice is the solution exquisite!

I will  stillreach out,

In subjects not ruled out…

Walk in the flesh

Heavily risks death,

Gotta pull some hot irons out!

The upshot–some I’ll follow–

The rest–if they visit tomorrow…

I’ll respond graciously

But not the pest–not me–

I’ve sinned–I repent in sorrow!

My actions toward those of whom I’ve spoken,

From now on–contact is broken…

This I must do

So they’ll feel safe too,

No need of me in their business poking.

THE CHRISTMAS TRAIN–SURVIVES!

The train ’round our tree survives,

It must own several lives…

train tracks glued down

won’t shift around,

But the trains do go flying–surprise!

Being careful my wife and I,

Have avoided seeing the train fly…

It at times left the rails

So far my steamer fails,

To run here–I don’t know why?

Helps that we have no kids,

Nor cats to sit amidst…

Not much room

Nor do our trains zoom,

But they’ve been known to do splits!

DE-EMPHASIZING “ASSETS”

Howbeit a man,

Explaining how best he can…

Techniques using clothes

To camouflage those,

Two parts that entice a man?

What I’ve  in fashion blogs learned,

Is that certain strategies discerned….

Are mighty effective

Distracting deceptive,

Respect in their eyes earned!

Denying men their prayers,

Dress in effective layers…

A blazer disrupts

Sight down and up,

Hiding those detail betrayers!

Mesmerizing pattern on dresses,

Sometimes OVER-STRESSES…

Shape and size

Of what man’s eyes,

Like about these dresses.

Better irregular colors,

Make observing eyes dullard…

Takes the whole dress

His attention arrest,

Focus is somewhat cluttered!

Looser blouses suggest,

Mystery that’s best…

Wear them tight

And you’ve no right

to complain about his interest!

Cardigan and ponchos in layers,

Are also good girl watcher slayers…

Not sure where

“You are” in there,

Less interesting then, for stares!

If she “goes without”

Be certain nothing pokes out…

Wear a T shirt

As a liner won’t hurt,

Or with heavier fabric, no doubt!

A REAL SHOCK I AM?

Finding a nearly-sixty-year-old,

Fashion poet leaves some rather cold…

A shock to see

The  elderly,

Actively trends they behold!

He sin’t always a saint,

But postive pictures he’ll paint…

Good exposure and pride

Knowing someone’s on their side,

Hoping his maleness isn’t a taint!

Again he must balance his views,

Determined to spread good news…

His challenge is to write

Poetic fashion insight,

Though alas, bias for certain styles–skews!

A fan of the button-up blouse,

It’s clean lines he’ll endorse…

Other styles

He compiles,

To show what they are, of course!

TO ALL BELIEVERS OF ANY FAITH

It sounds controversial

For  a Christian to appeal…

To believers of all other gods

To lend their aid and deal…

With the human suffering

Of two major hurricanes

Families of many faiths

Enduring loss and pain!

Even if you have no god,

Please  think good thoughts to heal…

It’ll be a long time  till many folks

Return to an even keel;

This is what my Dad might have done

In his liberal theology…

Reaching out to all concerned

With no apology!

I’ m thinking of a special friend,

A blogger fresh and true…

Known as Holly Hunter

And other Floridians, too;

Her “House of Heart” is quiet till

She survives the storm….

I repeat my concern

For her a colleagues’ love is warm!

To our knees, lotus positions, or however you access the divine—for the sake all storm victims!

TAKES COURAGE AND ENCOURAGEMENT!

It must take courage to pose,

In plain or fancy clothes…

The public eye

(including guys),

In essence the whole world she shows!

More for a purpose than money–

Some responses are  rummy–

Courageous means

Fulfilling fond dreams,

Good reason to flatten that tummy!

Amateurs know whom they are,

Accepting themselves above par…

Not letting shape

Become like red tape,

But showing we all can star!

GOD HOUSE, OH GOD HOUSE!*

Little stone pagodas,

In some garden corners…

Garden protection

By spirit direction.

Not wanting any reformers!

For those who believe,

These little houses conceived…

To spirits open

Gardeners hoping,

Blessing s are on the way!

For Christians, this garden art,

Tempts those who escaped  this part…

Of pagan belief

It is no relief,

Knowing spirits here park!

Some claim these are ornamental,

And we shouldn’t be judgmental…

If one has escaped

Being spirit chased,

Getting rid of these is fundamental!

When I see these—will they be removed?

No–each one chooses spirit truth…

We can pray

You’ll toss them away,

But it is your choice and your roof!

–Jonathan Caswell

*Please note that the subject of this poem is the author’s own opinion—no guarantees that either the provider of the illustration or anyone else believes as I do.  My friends have their own opinions and beliefs. Not everyone may be aware of what these cute stone pagodas represent, which I feel I should point out–then leave the deciding up to each person to decide for themselves!–Jonathan E. Caswell  I still love all you fellow bloggers!  🙂

FORK LIMBO

Not talking of bent underneath,

But forks whose existence ceased…

Unexplainable

Evidence unobtainable,

The hair on this head duly creased!

Unexplained portals in time,

Is this what happened to mine?

Does a quantum mechanic

Have something for panic,

Because of something stealing him blind?

If he washes dishes,

His answer may be less suspicious…

This lazy gourmand

At the bottom of his pond,

May discover forks propitious!

–Jonathan Caswell.

EXPERIMENT’S OVER

He tried separating himself,

His work from the rest…

Expected lots to follow him

And pass his subtle test.

Alas and a lack,

Most stayed in the crowd…

Very few came over,

His ego broke and bowed!

Blog following prefers him here,

Amidst what he creates…

He finds noise and inconvenience dear

And his blog he celebrates!
