MEETING “MISTY” AGAIN

She worked at UNIBANK

In Douglas–I wanted to thank

Her for her time

And her job climb,

Her brand new upward rank.

On an impulse I stopped today,

Someone smiled and showed me the way…

A classy place-

Seeing her face

Washed all my concerns away!

She said that I looked good,

My wife’s hand braces–understood…

The joy of less pain,

She said come again

I told her that maybe I would!

STRANGER THINGS…

Stranger outcomes happen,

When opportunity’s tapping,

Wanting in

And you begin

Writing ideas you’re trapping!

He’s written ’bout Christ and trains–

Weather seems worth one’s pains….

Fashion poems are new

As something to do,

And the challenge takes working brains!

I’d say it is channeling energy,

Most of which has left me….

Shapes and sizes

And stylish surmises,

Still need a bard’s entrĂ©e.

“An eye for the women.” one said,

Focusing on their clothes instead..

“Clothes make the man”

And women, and can

Leave little more to be said!

YET–a poet describes,

Details that emanate vibes…

Along a track

That likes feedback,

Both positive and wise!

–Jonathan Caswell

THEY JUST DISAPPEARED!!!

She swallowed my comments TWICE,

I don’t think that was NICE…

One-sided talk–

The other side stopped–

Is really a fascist  DEVICE!

Although–there is another blog–

In which my comments don’t log…

This might be a measure

To some comments treasure,

I keep my comments open–not demagogue!

They can do what they like,

I will not return a strike…

Nor delete

Any comments I meet,

Unless that is what they’d like!

–Jonathan Caswell

A REAL SHOCK I AM?

Finding a nearly-sixty-year-old,

Fashion poet leaves some rather cold…

A shock to see

The  elderly,

Actively trends they behold!

He sin’t always a saint,

But postive pictures he’ll paint…

Good exposure and pride

Knowing someone’s on their side,

Hoping his maleness isn’t a taint!

Again he must balance his views,

Determined to spread good news…

His challenge is to write

Poetic fashion insight,

Though alas, bias for certain styles–skews!

A fan of the button-up blouse,

It’s clean lines he’ll endorse…

Other styles

He compiles,

To show what they are, of course!

TO ALL BELIEVERS OF ANY FAITH

It sounds controversial

For  a Christian to appeal…

To believers of all other gods

To lend their aid and deal…

With the human suffering

Of two major hurricanes

Families of many faiths

Enduring loss and pain!

Even if you have no god,

Please  think good thoughts to heal…

It’ll be a long time  till many folks

Return to an even keel;

This is what my Dad might have done

In his liberal theology…

Reaching out to all concerned

With no apology!

I’ m thinking of a special friend,

A blogger fresh and true…

Known as Holly Hunter

And other Floridians, too;

Her “House of Heart” is quiet till

She survives the storm….

I repeat my concern

For her a colleagues’ love is warm!

To our knees, lotus positions, or however you access the divine—for the sake all storm victims!

TAKES COURAGE AND ENCOURAGEMENT!

It must take courage to pose,

In plain or fancy clothes…

The public eye

(including guys),

In essence the whole world she shows!

More for a purpose than money–

Some responses are  rummy–

Courageous means

Fulfilling fond dreams,

Good reason to flatten that tummy!

Amateurs know whom they are,

Accepting themselves above par…

Not letting shape

Become like red tape,

But showing we all can star!

COSPLAY COWGIRL!

(Image from atomicredhead.com)

According to a guy on TV,

The English (?) gladly…

Put on costumes

Because one assumes,

They want interesting lives madly!

Ready new lives to embark,

Dress up like the theme of a park…

Like Janey here

You’ll be sincere,

Making a positive mark!

–Jonathan Caswell

KNOWS WHAT TO POSE!

Young ones tend to learn fast,

How to an impression last…

How to pose hips

With smiling lips,

To garner attention fast!

So often a little tilt

Will a man’s heart wilt…

Practised form

Impressions warm,

Attraction or sudden guilt.

For her man behind the lens,

She makes attractive bends…

Not for me–

For marriage sanctity–

She flirts with him for love’s ends!

–Jonathan Caswell

I’M HUMAN–AM I?

He thought himself that

Like a neutered cat

Till at work he looked upon a woman’s bust…

Then all neutering forgotten

and he didn’t feel so rotten

But regardless in his God he would trust!

CHORUS:

Rumor is

Life’s a bit…

complicated right from the word “Birth”—you know!

The Lord knows we are dust

and in aging start to rust

But don’t expect our minds to say so!

Some people say that God

Thinks humanity as odd–

Something to be cursed and swept all away!

But the Bible says–NOT TRUE–

That’s not what God will do

‘Cause the price to meet Him  Christ has paid!

CHORUS (ABOVE)

God sent His very son

to show how it is done

and how nothing we do gets in the way—

It takes a humble person

To accept the Lord God’s version

And take His salvation today!

CHORUS

God is in the form of Spirit,

Do all with ears hear it

And accept that our bodies rarely will—

So God alone

Makes a way to bring us home

If we just admit that God’s own Spirit fills!

CHORUS

So his view of breasts

Don’t preclude him from the Rest

Waiting for him by God’s own command!

But sensitively

No idiot he’ll be

Keeping well controlled his

Behavior as it stands!

CHORUS

–Jonathan Caswell

An apparent song parody of GRANDMA’S IN THE CELLAR”, at least I think so!

HE’S IN POTENTIAL DANGER

The average male fashion poet,

Is there anyone else–do you know it…?

Has to watch what he’ll say

Or feelings sway,

And soon enough–he own’s it!

He must tread carefully,

Asking permission to be…

Commenting on

What women don,

Without being their enemy!

Safer to do it on line,

Where at least we’re having good times (?)…

A funny nose

May come to blows,

If not with careful crafting each time.
