TIME TO CONFESS AND REPENT

AUTHOR’S NOTE:  He’s not trying to grandstand—just admit to his guilt of certain motives and conduct and ask forgiveness of those he has wronged–whether or not they feel they were.  It is a part of his Christian belief…being reconciled to God and the ones he has wronged asking forgiveness of both.  There is a Bible basis to all this, which the author believes by faith to be the transcribed word of God to be followed and obeyed.  Especially when he doesn’t!  Questions/Comments are always welcome.

Writer of poetry,

The “fashion” got away from me…

Chasing skirts

Many women hurts,

Of this I am guilty!

Sought “readers” unsuccessfully,

The hidden motive–to see…

What interested

Where saints shouldn’t tread

And pester them endlessly!

The many unreturned visits,

Prove out how wrong is it…

I know my sin

Repenting therein,

Stop this practice is the solution exquisite!

I will  stillreach out,

In subjects not ruled out…

Walk in the flesh

Heavily risks death,

Gotta pull some hot irons out!

The upshot–some I’ll follow–

The rest–if they visit tomorrow…

I’ll respond graciously

But not the pest–not me–

I’ve sinned–I repent in sorrow!

My actions toward those of whom I’ve spoken,

From now on–contact is broken…

This I must do

So they’ll feel safe too,

No need of me in their business poking.

STRANGER THINGS…

Stranger outcomes happen,

When opportunity’s tapping,

Wanting in

And you begin

Writing ideas you’re trapping!

He’s written ’bout Christ and trains–

Weather seems worth one’s pains….

Fashion poems are new

As something to do,

And the challenge takes working brains!

I’d say it is channeling energy,

Most of which has left me….

Shapes and sizes

And stylish surmises,

Still need a bard’s entrée.

“An eye for the women.” one said,

Focusing on their clothes instead..

“Clothes make the man”

And women, and can

Leave little more to be said!

YET–a poet describes,

Details that emanate vibes…

Along a track

That likes feedback,

Both positive and wise!

A REAL SHOCK I AM?

Finding a nearly-sixty-year-old,

Fashion poet leaves some rather cold…

A shock to see

The  elderly,

Actively trends they behold!

He sin’t always a saint,

But postive pictures he’ll paint…

Good exposure and pride

Knowing someone’s on their side,

Hoping his maleness isn’t a taint!

Again he must balance his views,

Determined to spread good news…

His challenge is to write

Poetic fashion insight,

Though alas, bias for certain styles–skews!

A fan of the button-up blouse,

It’s clean lines he’ll endorse…

Other styles

He compiles,

To show what they are, of course!

TAKES COURAGE AND ENCOURAGEMENT!

It must take courage to pose,

In plain or fancy clothes…

The public eye

(including guys),

In essence the whole world she shows!

More for a purpose than money–

Some responses are  rummy–

Courageous means

Fulfilling fond dreams,

Good reason to flatten that tummy!

Amateurs know whom they are,

Accepting themselves above par…

Not letting shape

Become like red tape,

But showing we all can star!

POET…AFTER (A) FASHION!

He calls himself “fashion poet”,

One or two others know it…

In pursuits

Avoiding lawsuits,

He certainly doesn’t want to blow it!

Him being man and all,

Must carefully judge his call…

With less passion

Than stereotypical fashion,

Not being the Beast at the ball.

Gender matters to him,

Especially if women…

They’re the kind

He most has in mind,

Do they mind if he tiptoes in?

EXODUS 20: 3-5 A POEM

Have no other gods before Him,

Not even by innocent whim…

It’s suicidal

To worship an idol,

Walking on ice very thin.

So periodically

He must sort his files to see…

What grabs his heart–

With that he must part,

‘Tis better than hypocrisy!

Culling out accumulations

Of any conflagrations,,,

That hold him fast

He will cast,

Out for sanctification.

BLONDES, REDHEADS, BRUNETTES

Listing his various loves,

And hair color of former doves…

He found these three

Most frequently,

Were treated with softer gloves.

For blondes he’ll often fall,

One nearly got it all…

A job wasn’t found

And he ran aground,

Someone else got her all!

A brunette is who he married,

And whose torch he’s carried…

For reds he’ll fall

And dream it all,

The brunette is glad he tarried!

–Jonathan Caswell

IT’S HIS FAULT!

He hasn’t had much sleep at night,

His muscles sore and cramped…

Daydreaming again at night–

No wonder his nerves are well-tamped?

Dwelling upon the improbable,

All personal pleasuring…

Wake and smell the coffee Sir–

You wear a wedding ring!

None of us has had it ideal,

We all do the best we can…

We know you want more sex appeal…

At your age this is planned?

Pictures, videos almost free

Do indeed have price…

Get yourself off the frozen deep lake

Before someone melts the ice!

–Jonathan Caswell

WHAT SORROW…CLEARING OF YOURSELVES!

(Read 2nd Corinthians 7: 11)

An Adult Subject Poem

A Christian feels sad,

Realizing more than a tad…

He’d gone overboard

Behaving untoward,

Mourning ’cause he’d been had!

In his personal sin

He’d let the enemy sneak in…

In certain ways

Our minds play,

Corrupting the soul within.

Certain things lure fantasy,

Enticing our own fancy…

Pictures and prose

Hooks one’s nose,

And mind in a trance, tragically!

Avoiding it all is best,

But if  Evil builds a nest…

The penalty for sin

Christ did in,

Repent now and enter His rest!

–Jonathan Caswell

ATTENTION-GETTING

The questions are moot,

Wearing patriotic suits…

Getting th’attention

Is the woman’s intention,

Hoping to bear handsome fruit!

When guys wear patriotic trunks,

If their bodies are tight, they’re hunks…

Whatever they wear

The viewers don’t care,

They love watching manly hunks.

Beyoncé’ and other stars,

Parade on summer sand bars…

Paparazzi

Help others to see,

All those stripes and the stars!
