“CRUNCH TIME”

Any time before twelve,

He could call on his cell…

On his way

Or getting up late,

Then I know all is well!

Sometimes nearer One AM,

I get out, relieved by my friend…

Sometimes homework

For his daughter lurks,

To do before his shift’s end.

A GARDEN STATUS REPORT

Here at work the gardens

Look fine while the soil hardens…

In cold air

The mums are fair,

The rest of the plants reach their life margins.

PIZZA STYLES

Buy a pizza with cheese,

Which varieties…

Of crust and sauce,

Cooking time, cost

Does your palette please?

Cheese should be soft and gooey,

Stretching out while chewing…

White not all brown–

Mildest sauce in town–

No peppers causing taste bud “kablooey”.

The pizza’s harder to chew,

Colder but the spices come through…

The wife may not like–

Spices do spike–

She always warms hers up too!

BLONDES, REDHEADS, BRUNETTES

Listing his various loves,

And hair color of former doves…

He found these three

Most frequently,

Were treated with softer gloves.

For blondes he’ll often fall,

One nearly got it all…

A job wasn’t found

And he ran aground,

Someone else got her all!

A brunette is who he married,

And whose torch he’s carried…

For reds he’ll fall

And dream it all,

The brunette is glad he tarried!

COFFEE TIME

COFFEE TIME

Nodding off at his beginning,

Between times of greeting and grinning…

He held off until

He was far too still

And resolve to stay awake was thinning.

It took maybe three or four tries

To turn the thing on (poor eyes)…

The maker on floor

Made it a chore,

Which button to push—SURPRISE!!!!

This blend was very strong

Four scoops of coffee got along…

Without milk–ICK,

But one won’t be sick,

By quitting time, you’re going strong!

MARRIAGE COMMUNICATION??

MARRIAGE COMMUNICATION??

She claimed they discussed it Saturday,

He doesn’t remember that way…

So Monday’s surprise

Hit between his eyes,

It got done….anyway!

GETTING CLEANED UP

GETTING CLEANED UP

Happy to pay the Electric

Me and the wife squared away….

Whether or not I needed,

Got a haircut and shower today!

Shaved my chin and the back of my neck,

All of the grey hair is gone…

At least for a moment I’m younger-looking,

I’m singing a happier song!

A WISH TO BE HER FRIEND

A WISH TO BE HER FRIEND

The two guards tried to not gawk

As she glided down the walk…

With her befriended

Both would be contented,

It wasn’t a consummation sought.

I wished I’d told the guys

For years on end male eyes…

Had considered and cried

For what was denied,

(The cameras are spies!).

It’s not known by everyone

But this beauty has a grown son…

If her English were better

Someone would have met her,

(Is her boyfriend the only one?).

I WISH I WERE AT THE BEACH!

I WISH I WERE AT THE BEACH!

(GOOGLE IMAGES)

The eyes have it at the beach,

Beauty just out of reach…

No spyglasses needed

For wiring exceeded

Overloadis worth every peach!

You see one-pieces look fine

Without going over the line…

Bikinis are crime

At sunburn time,

I like the one-piece kind!

MAYBE IT’S IN THE AIR?

MAYBE…IT’S IN THE AIR-?

Crossed wires are mine today,

Communication that got away…

Thinking ice cream

Instead of steak wasn’t keen,

Forked tongue was ready to play!

With Binghamton on the brain

I should know to restrain…

Remember grilled meat

Is still cool to eat

If one lets those juices drain.

Carissa, I’m sorry I blew it,

Forgot I was to chew it…

Choking on meat

Is hardly a treat,

But like ice cream I enjoy getting through it!
