BALDWIN SISTERS

If you watched THE WALTONS,

You know the Baldwin sisters…

They held an innocent charm around–

But their “formula” would cause blisters (in paint!)!

Neither sister drove at all,

So Grandpa made money…

Driving the sisters around

To earn enough to treat his honey!

Baldwin sisters so have I,

But an unmatched dual…

If these two were very real

They’d run on diesel fuel.

Hard to say what I’ll do—

Paint one or the other…

Maybe I’ll take them home,

Naming one after Mother!

Collecting all these engines–

Ihope I see each run…

Piling them up on a shelf

Isn’t that much fun!

FAR MORE THAN DECORATION

FAR MORE THAN DECORATION

Mention the woman’s name “Holly”

And folks think about Christmas jolly…

Singing DECK THE HALLS

While a snow drift calls,

In a Christmas culturally “poly”.

She wanted to go away,

Then decided to stay…

Our Holly found

Without her around,

A lot of folks felt dismay!

Her writing’s a treasure trove

Fashioned in creative love…

Greeting each guest

She does the best,

And really has nothing to prove!

Last of all–to put up with me–

Requires  to the Nth degree…

Kindness unbounded

From a guy who’s hounded

His share toward insanity!

Love her romancing her–no–

But I love the rest of her so…

If I was available

She’d be assailable,

Why a guy hasn’t–I don’t know.

I fervently wish she can–

If she wants–to find a good man…

Whatever she needs

With my Father I plead,

That she may not leave us again.

Some day, of course, many will,

When blogging won’t pay bills…

Or another medium

Makes better comedians,

Then will our blog go still.

<3 MY LOVE FOR LADY BLOGGERS! <3

❤     MY LOVE FOR LADY BLOGGERS     ❤

Avowed love of lady bloggers,

Hard-working creative bloggers…

I love thee all

For me you stand tall,

Driving us romantics bonkers!  🙂

Some of you are very fetching,

Appearance not all that’s catching…

The mind and heart–

Thy very art–

Draweth me to your fine meshings!

By word and artistic guile,

You make this creative man smile…

Cry and laugh

On your behalf,

Each in a wonderful style.

Long distance hugs the rule

In this community cool….

Cool in attitude

To not be rude,

Suggesting of anything cruel.

Group hugs all around,

My love to all of you found….

In likes and raves

From this former knave,

Who likes in whose company he’s found!

😀

AND SUDDENLY SHE’S GONE!

AND SUDDENLY SHE’S GONE!

(To all the Lady bloggers who change format, leave Word Press or don’t come around anymore…after I’ve grown to love, admire and need them!)

(With sorrowful cries to  one in particular!)

Another woman draws apart,

Taking a portion of heart…

I know it’s not fair

To keep her here,

But her leaving does smart!

I’m hardly more than sideshow

Of the hundreds of people to know…

My growing attached

Suddenly despatched,

Leaves this blog host feeling low

I hold no right to any,

But tied in friendship to many…

As much as is

For a poet like me,

Who longs for sisters and Mammy!

So go off–you’ll be fine.

I’ll get off this jag of mine…

People collecting

We should be rejecting,

But for losing you, I pine.

WANTED…CLOSE COMMUNICATING!

WANTED CLOSE COMMUNICATING!

The problem was both had hurts,

Committed by trousers and skirts…

Commitment to trust

Gathered rust,

Both thought the other curt.

Walls and grudges build

Despite commitments to yield…

Many a marriage

Is disparaged,

By combat in the field.

Obvious one doesn’t understand,

The other’s health demands…

One bends over,

The other takes over

And pushes one into badlands.

The verbose one wonders why

The silent one won’t try

to open

As they’re hoping,

To fill them in bye-and-bye.

The silent one’s thoughts run sarcastic,

The other one listens to drastic…

And half the time

Is not so inclined,

They both fall into that basket!

HARD-TO-HEAR HAIKU

HARD-TO-HEAR HAIKU

(Adult Topic)

Become impotent

His fading manhood laments…

But what is inside?

-JEC

Little feeling left,

No place left to vent the ache…

Must thinking change, too?

–JEC

Engorgement all gone,

Being faithful accepts lack…

No one left to love.

–JEC

How to love without?

Can a man still be a man”’

His woman knows that!

–JEC

Appreciates form,

Less likely liquid lusting…

Why keep the old ways?

–JEC

Is safer this way…

For all women that he sees,

Much less threatening!

–JEC

Power lust remains,

That…no non-phallic can cure…

Bad apples near tree.

A POETIC PORTRAIT

A POETIC PORTRAIT

(tune of THE YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS)

A poet wants a portrait

Entirely in words,

Written by a fellow poet

Who this poet has observed…

There is no need for flattery

Of that he’s had enough,

But he would be encouraged

And that poet has the stuff!

But he would be encouraged

And that poet has the stuff!

He wanted someone special

With a woman’s touch,

He chose one with a “gravatar”

That he loves much…

This poetess writes poetry

Intricate and very deep,

She says she’ll somehow get down to

His poet’s inner keep!

She says she’ll try to get into

His poet’s inner keep!

He could have asked others

But chose his favorite “red”,

Her sensitivity in verse

Makes her one step ahead,..

He recently had his heart changed

To love himself and why,

He wants her to encourage him

As he is through her eyes;

He wants her to describe him

As through her poet’s eyes!

His wife has agreed to this

As long as this woman knows

She cannot have more than the “write”

To his character expose…

She’s interested in reading

What the other has to say,

To see if she agrees with her

At least most of the way;

to see if she agrees with her

At least most of the way!

–Jonathan Caswell

WOULD ANYONE UNDERSTAND?

WOULD ANYONE UNDERSTAND?

He knows what most will say

If he tries to explain away…

The quandry he’s in

Taking on the chin

The reasdons he’s not okay.

The house and the car are a mess.

Bringing him down perplexed…

Why is he frozen

‘Bout easily chosen

Methods of reducing stress?

All he needs to do is CLEAN,

Not that hard, it would seem…

But mental blocvk

Makes his talk

Ultimately unredeemed.

He doesn’t intend to flout

His excessive burn-out…

Long term care

Getting nowhere,

His weakness he won’t tout.

Consequently onward he plods,

Hoping to even the odds…

What mind won’t do

Perhaps he’ll break through

Nutritionally, by eating pea pods!
