<3 JOANNE <3

❤    JOANNE    ❤

Putting it very succinctly,

Joanne in our eyes is distinctly…

A treasure to see

While we happily,

Visit her office meekly.

In fashion that’s the best,

In professional confidence rests…

Her cheery manner

With not a complainer,

Or any of which we’ll attest!

Blessed by her children dear,

We’re blessed by her presence here…

Those of us taken,

Loyalties unshaken

Would make our affection of her clear!

We hope this Valentine will do,

We sure do appreciate you…!

LAUNCHING WORDS, SHIPS, PINK-COLORED SLIPS

LAUNCHING WORDS, SHIPS, PINK-COLORED SLIPS

A face that truly inspires,

Greed and avarice fires…

Dressed up nice

But cold as ice,

Does she care about what transpires?

Often idols are kept

Away from those who have wept…

A picture that’s true

Reality, will it do?

For those whose souls have left?

Women dressed up and admired,

No control over what transpired….

Men use romance

Justifying advance,

After brutally acquired.

(A different side of the coin, perhaps?)

HIGHER SPEED RAIL

HIGHER SPEED RAIL

(To  tune of “THE YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS”)

Been working on the N scale

Whenever I’ve found time,

Rebuilding older trackage

So electrics will work fine…

Putting in curved turnouts

Simulating former speed,

My truncated mainline

Once hosted iron steeds!

The story goes that this was once

A high-speed mainline,

Alas, this part of the railroad is

In serious decline…

A few banked curves remain to

Remind us what once was,

The rest of the roadbed

Like that economy, went bust.

But renewing hope is out there

My imaginary line,

Hosts a  tourist train

Which looks like it does fine…

A collection of Rail Diesel Cars–

Steam engines have a few–

An array of passenger train cars,

Restoration still to do!

When rebuilding’s finished

(It’s going to run this time),

They’ll have a ceremony

So get yourself in line…

Cooking for a grand shindig

The restaurants in town,

Will serve the finest dishes

With MOXIE passed around!

They’ll serve their finest cuisine

So chug that MOXIE down!!!!

HAREM SCARE’EM AND ME!

HAREM SCARE ‘EM AND ME !

(To the tune of “THE YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS”…A SONG)

He thought he’d like a harem–

Oh, what a great idea–

Collecting beautiful women

For each day of the year…

Have one of every hair color:

Of red-heads, two or three,

Some that change with the season

Oh what a company!

But modern girls aren’t like the ones

That lived in olden time,

They’re much more educated,

Don’t easily resign…

Their lives and their futures

To a fat cat jailer-king,

To volunteer they’d like to hear

His cash disbursement ring.

Logistics would be maddening

Even if all were convinced,

Coming from all over

When he saw the bill he winced…

He began feeling outnumbered

Cooperation thin,

Instead of coming one-by-one

They all came after him!

He couldn’t pay their wages

So all up and left,

His fine plans for his evenings–

Not a single one was kept…

And then he got the bills for

The leaving of each one,

He decided then and there

Modern harems were no fun!

I thought of the same thing myself,

Like “THE HAREM OF BIRDS”

But only beautiful bloggers–

Women, in other words…

An exclusive club with just one man

My wife would veto fast,

My flesh already wants control—

The concept sounds a blast.

But thinking realistically

My cost is way too much,

I’ll lose those friends who cannot stand

A married man’s touch…

Long-distance relationships

Are harder to maintain,

I’d just as soon give up now

Before I feel the pain!

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU.

THE LORD CLEANED MY COMPUTER.

THE LORD CLEANED MY COMPUTER

(or arranged it!)

To say that God cleaned it

Is to say He arranged the act…

There is no doubt that without His clout

I once again would have been smacked.

The on-line guy never called back

So I was left in the lurch…

I asked Pastor for prayer and

He and others prayed right in church.

My neighbor introduced me to the man who

Had been fixing computers a while…

He didn’t upload what I wanted,

But left me with a smile.

He did as he’d normally done,

Cleaned and set things up right…

So now I’m safer with protection besides

And the cost was much less of a fright!

The Lord in His mercy sent someone along,

Of that I am entirely convinced…

If I had gone with my original plan,

The bank account would have winced!

FASHION PERSONIFIED

FASHION PERSONIFIED

Janet and I were talking,

While Joanne was walking

Out to see

Little Gracie,

While I did the usual gawking.

“Joanne,” said Janet kindly,

“Your suit looks wonderfully…

“Matched in all parts

Your clothing arts,

You’re always a joy to see.”

I easily agreed too,

Joanne know what to do…

Fashion embodiment

By separates’ statement

Of talent with green and blue!

Things independently

Bought are artfully…

Brought together

A visual treasure,

Pleasing to all who see!  🙂

CHERRY BLOSSOMS

CHERRY BLOSSOMS

From the Orient

Friendship ties and harmony

Spread throughout the world

–J.E.C.

April pleasure sight

Delicate blossom display

International

Trees of friendship underway

Sharing joy to all today

–J.E.C.

The April cherry trees,

Make glad those buzzing bees…

Who service each flower

Hour upon hour,

Abundant blossom–the bee’s knees!

–Jonathan Caswell

Blossoms abundantly rich,

Whose beauty causes an itch…

To put down

Weapons aground,

And find a peaceful niche

(niche being mispronounced as “nitch”)

–Jonathan Caswell

(New lyrics to YHE JELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS)

Oh…those Washingtom Cherry trees

Are really quite a sight,

Folks visit from all around

To bask in pinkish light…

We thank the Japanese who gave

This wondrous sight to us

Delicate blossoms which

Gently our cheeks buss!

From cities around the world

Come gentle oohs and ahhs,

Because these groves of cherry trees

Proclaim a peaceful cause…

Maybe, like the cherry tree

Man will decide in time,

To make amends for all our faults

And peace on earth to find!…

Yes man to put down all our faults

For peace on earth to find!
