POET…AFTER (A) FASHION!

He calls himself “fashion poet”,

One or two others know it…

In pursuits

Avoiding lawsuits,

He certainly doesn’t want to blow it!

Him being man and all,

Must carefully judge his call…

With less passion

Than stereotypical fashion,

Not being the Beast at the ball.

Gender matters to him,

Especially if women…

They’re the kind

He most has in mind,

Do they mind if he tiptoes in?

NO DIFFERENT “DOWN EAST”

NO DIFFERENT “DOWN EAST”

We’d like to visit Maine,

But now it’s much the same…

Melting snow piles

And weary smiles

Waiting for springtime plain.

Like us they’re tired

Alternately wired…

By long hours

Fighting snow showers

Paying the extra plows hired.

Nearly out of salt

To keep up the lively assault…

Snow-covered roads,

Icy ones goad

Town employees to help out.

COMING NEAR THE END–HAIKU COLLECTION

COMING NEAR THE END–A COLLECTION OF HAIKU

Coming near the end,

Winter storm winds whimper out…

Hardware stores sell seeds.

Coming near the end,

Nursing tapers off to nought…

Foot wound scabs fall off.

Coming near the end,

Wonders in night skies…

Prophesy hopes grow.

Coming near the end,

Vigorous manhood fades off…

Women menopause.

Coming near the end…

Persecution of Christ’s Way,

False prophets gain power!

Coming near the end…

Commuter trains did poorly,

Can that company?

Coming near the end…

Ideas flowing slowly,

My battery’s low!
