THAT PEANUT BUTTER PLOP

THAT PEANUT BUTTER PLOP

Two balls of peanut butter went plop

(Coordination must be in the shop)…

They fell off the bread

To the desk instead,

Was fearful that they wouldn’t stop.

One nicked the computer keyboard,

The other merely on the bag scored…

With peanutty smear

I’ve got a mess here,

My relief…at messes…has roared.

I’ve eaten the sandwich–nearly all–

Sticking back on the bread an errant ball…

Bread crumbs I can sweep

As neatness I’ll keep,

Sure glad on the floor it didn’t fall!

WHEN I’VE PANICKED…

WHEN I’VE PANICKED

When I’ve panicked and things are a mess,

My wife comes along-side in my duress…

And helps me to see

It’s time to agree,

To try it together, the way we work the best!

I tend to blame all myself,

When things suddenly turn south…

When we work together

With common shoe leather,

We look problems straight in the mouth!
