A QUIET NIGHT
(AT WORK)
–
One whole screen of cameras
Jumps from room-to-room,
Two more monitors look
Anywhere one might assume…
Equipment noises constantly
Sound throughout the plant,
Air hitting eardrums–
Sometimes that’s more the slant.
–
Alarms can happen any time
Although by now they’re fewer,
Still a big one could occur
And a whole night skewer…
Must respond immediately
To phone calls and such,
Most of us find things to do
Except during the rush!
–
Sudden conniptions–
What is that upon my screen,
It reminds me of a Grade “B”
Movie I’ve seen…
ACH…it’s just a spider
Caught in a spotlight,
No giant phantoms to disturb a quiet night!
