Rather than eat cake

Avoiding a sugary low.

Were too much for his desiring…

Much wiser by far

An escape by car,

Not wishing the embers refiring.

If anyone asks, they’ll know,

The secret romantic would go…

As it is, a partner’s need

Was a reason guaranteed

To tell any who might not know.

A camera he wished he had,

One last chance to be bad…(?)

Controlled himself,

Memories would be his wealth–

No mooning over her picture for this lad!
