THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE MY OWN

This model train layout comparing,

For me is getting quite wearing…

I don’t have room

Laying track to the moon,

Nor wish for hair out-tearing!

It seems that I’ve found

My basic concept is sound…

A New England yard

On which I’ve worked hard,

And still find interesting ground.

–

Although there’s much work to do,

Determined to see it through…

Without much change,

‘Though I’ve rearranged

Enough things to thicken the stew!

Maybe a separate loop

Of track, a display group…

Will satisfy

When trains must fly,

But not get lost in the soup.

–

Been planning a coal trestle for

A small power plant next door…

A historic canal,

The tourist to wow

And representative industries, sure.

–

The track is mostly in place,

I just have egg on my face…

Need to rewire

To help transpire

The switching of trains at my place!
