Puss Cat and my wife when they first met,

Didn’t always get along…

Competition was high to get to the man

And keep his attention so strong.

My one-man cat and my one-man woman

Had to fight over little old me…

The other cats who came along

Faced divided loyalty.

When Puss Cat left for the final road trip

I was devastated for sure…

But the wife and our cats and the joys of marriage

Helped me from feeling too poor.
