I really am not a merman,
But I’ll love mermaids when I can…
If they have red hair
The more I’m there,
A swim is part of the plan!

CLOUD(S) NAMED FOG
–
Now,this is the story of acloud named “Fog”,
The thickest cloud that they had ever logged…
And then one night it heard the strangest sound,
Wondering what scary was around!
–
You know that when th ground is colder than the air,
Fog will form and stay right over there…
It sublimes the snow right off the ground
And that’s what Fog heard,
IT WAS MAKING THAT SOUND!!!

Apologies to fans of THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES…for a parody of that theme song!!! 😀

WILL CHRISTMAS HAPPEN?
–
Will a Christmas tree choo-choo train happen?
Good enough so others start clapping?
Can he find an old board
And icy streams to ford,
And space nearby for his cabin?
–
The goal is to not build too much,
Of fantasy—just a touch–
Some green dinosaurs,
The mining of ore,
Realism need not be a crutch!
–
I’d want to have lots of trains
Of various periods sustained…
Steam and diesel-electric
Trains eclectic,
No barriers to joy contained!
–
I ask only the fun
Of making the whole thing run…
Three separate lines
Of trains piled up fine,
Is it as you would have done? –Jonathan Caswell
OUT OF THE SWIRLING MIST…!
–
Dreary day coming to a close,
Covered with drizzly mist…
He felt the sensation of eider down
And next of being kissed!
–
Someone just beyond his reach’
Yet was holding him close…
He could feel a shapely form
Could be a ghost?
–
He was not frightened
Of this hidden love…
He desired then to see
Whose hand was in the glove.
–
When he tried to catch her form
The specter faded away…
Perhaps if he hadn’t wished to see
They’d be together this very day!

GINGER-LICIOUS PRIDE
ROOSTER TAILS
(just silly)
Rooster tails at two AM,
Watering the lawn…
Sections done, every one
Before the break of dawn.
–
Bunnies put on shower caps,
Mice run for cover…
Shampoo sales go up at night
Among wildlife who bother.
–
Driving up the driveway
At two AM…
Shower parties all around,
Among our animal friends!

SUDDEN REPENTANCE
In the midst of an old man’s fantasy
About a young girl he adored…
He realized, woe is me,
What if her innocence were ignored?
–
An elder or a younger man,
With evil on the mind…
Could take her as a mere trophy
Then cast the wreckage behind!
–
He began to pray unto his Lord
Sincere and fervently…
To keep his adored from such pain,
At least ’til maturity.
–
Too many young ones taken
By evil men for lust,
Are broken down and lose their souls…
Betrayed by unknowing trust.
–
The innocence of childhood
In a body that looks adult…
Still needs to be protected,
Not cheated by craft and guilt.
–
He enjoyed the innocent laughter
That the young woman produced…
Ashamed of his own thoughts after,
How he wished she was ne’er seduced
To give up what and whom she was,
For a single time of loss…
Until the time she could willingly
Love a man who was worth the cost!
–
He had no daughters, neither sons,
But he felt a burden true…
Praying to protect the innocent ones
Including perhaps you, too.
