UNWILLING TO ADAPT?

(An opinion piece)

Having a disabled wife

And two less toes myself…

I wonder ’bout awareness

That folks hide on a shelf.

A church put up a great big ramp

Into the entrance proud…

But bathrooms are inaccessible,

Oh for crying out loud!

Our historic library

In town hasn’t even a ramp…

Some folks wanted to double the building–

The “town overspending” camp.

–

Maybe approaching Church Trustees

Will allow access compromise…

An elevator costs a lot,

But worth it in our eyes.
