IDENTITIES FANCIED

I really am not a merman,

But I’ll love mermaids when I can…

If they have red hair

The more I’m there,

A swim is part of the plan!

MERMAIDS ON HIS MIND

Those mermaids on his mind,

Figures dearly defined…

Some seem real

With gender appeal,

Others not so well lined.

Funny, those ones in the field,

Rarely have such appeal…

He’s seen film clips

Claiming it’s,

A real one–that looks like a seal!

Still he wonders why

Certain women don’t at least try…

Wearing  a tail

On an aquatic trail,

(A new business tells us why!)

SUCCUBUS

SUCCUBUS

Succubus, a female demon,

Often encountered when dreaming…

Temptress extraordinaire

A seductress rare,

Sexual exploits scheming.

In olden times attacked men

Who were often grateful then…

for this hot date

Who couldn’t wait

Until any enticement brought in!

There also were incubus men,

Who showed up seducing women…

The story goes

That libido slows

From too many times with them!

Modern times  changed

The meaning for gender-same…

Her hot date

She shivers for of late,

Until the next that date came.

Alas I’ve dreamed mermaids as thus,

My adolescent succubus…

Never really happened

With one so nicely sharpened,

An adolescent dream went bust!

MERMAIDS FOR REAL?

MERMAIDS FOR REAL?

Is it true these folks are real,

Although not fully revealed…

Animal Planet

Takes it for granted

That it can explain the whole deal.

Looking at their You Tube videos,

Theory and fact hang close…

So=called “marine ape”

Evolves off the  Cape

Of African shores they chose.

Killer whales considered once on land,

So too, say them of merman…

Theory aside

This concept flies

In the face of Creation’s high stand.

DREAMING OF MERMAIDS

(huntertrevas.b logspot.com)

DREAMING OF MERMAIDS

I’ve never wanted to be

A mermaid, ’cause I’m a “he”…

Being a woman is rough,

Thinking like one is tough,

I’d rather let her be the “she”.

In school Mermaid and Merman,

Poetry shaped as it can….

In Art Class we made

Pictures color inlaid,

The regret of the Merman.

One blogger I’ve read attests

He’s practiced the drawing of breast”’

His mermaids

Are visual aids

Of anatomical loveliness.

I dreamt of them more as a teen,

For excitement, if you know what I mean…

Not as much since then–

Probably marriage was when

I had little need then to dream!

Some artists apply clams

Or weeds to mammary glands…

Suitable to pick

For display in public,

Though many like uncovered glands.

As I get older

My dreams turn colder…

Mermaid or not

Isn’t as hot,

So generally—I do not.

WATER FAERIES AREN’T MERMAIDS

WATER FAERIES AREN’T MERMAIDS…

All faeries have colors and wings,

They are such delicate things…

But let a male draw

And soon a flaw

Shows faeries without clothing!

Mermaids and faeries  both

Need not have gender growth…

Stay light and fair

You faeries in air,

Stay away from the man whose an oaf!

MERMAID FANCIES

MERMAID FANCIES

Far from a mere manatee

Mermaids appeal endlessly…

To men on the waves

That sanity saves

Providing female fantasy.

‘Though the style was once more obese,

The interest of this kind never ceased…

Adolescents too

Experience anew

What helped sailors find some piece.

He remembered a fantasy groovy

Influenced by a W.C. Fields movie….

With a voluptuous vamp

Disturbing the camp

Of Olympian athletes moody.

Combined with a mermaid slinky

His adolescent mind edged toward kinky…

It wasn’t X-rated

But clearly demonstrated

His fantasy required some hard thinking.
