PLEASANTRIES ON THE STAIRS

PLEASANTRIES ON THE STAIRS

A fabulous redhead I saw,

The fan I decided to trawl…

She was very busy

And in such a tizzy,

With no reading time at all!

Talking for that minute,

For me had value in it…

She was alive and smiling,

Positively beguiling

And real discussion was in it.

A JOY OF SECURITY WORK

A JOY OF SECURITY WORK:

Whether entering or leaving past

The guard smells her perfume last…

A snootful of joy

For this old boy,

Make pleasant a sedentary task!

CERTAIN SMILES

CERTAIN SMILES

Sitting at Security watching the folks go by

Ready to accept any smiles given on the fly,

When favorites known to me

Bless by their pleasantries,

Gratitude keeps my spirits high.

MEDICAL NECESSITY

MEDICAL NECESSITY

I met another redhead

For an echocardiogram…

She said her hair normally

Was darker, not the current red tam.

‘Twas pleasant, but she had her job

To do checking my heart…

Don’t know if she found what she was looking for,

It’ll probably show on my chart.

She sat rather close and I behaved,

The ultrasound probe pushed down hard…

When she finished up I toweled myself

While she looked at her next dance card.
