The place was a factory,
In the midst of change-over you see…
Get one department done
And the others want one,
And all the old hallways agree!

So what happens meantime,
We’ll settle for reason and rhyme…
Each has its due
Plan to see through,
Which costs a pretty bid dime!

At what point in this picture
Does a rail enthusiast vanish…
With coal dust in his hair
And skin rather tannish.

Mostly men–but women, too,
Disappear at any time…
Rail enthusiasts live out
