THE SPIRIT WILL, AS WELL!

Talked with his  doctor one day

(Self-hurting was under way)…

Facing fears

And hidden tiers

Is  better than running away!

God’s Holy Spirit heals,

For the same reveals…

If we resist

Rebellion-kissed,

Deception of our soul conceals.

Who doesn’t want to get well?

Can one always tell?

Couldn’t we

Easily be

Healed by a potion or pill?

DIABETES REGRETS AND GREEDIES

DIABETES REGRETS AND GREEDIE

Too late he noticed them leaving,

In time he was visibly grieving…

These didn’t stay

They just went away,

He wished he’d not been self-deceiving!

Medicine took some too,

He’d almost rather stay blue…

Sharp up and downs

And extra pounds—

He did what he had to do.

Acceptance gets harder and harder

Giving up implications of ardor…

There isn’t much left,

He feels bereft,

But paying for solutions would be murder!

THE CHRISTIAN’S IDENTITY PARADOX

THE CHRISTIAN’S IDENTITY PARADOX**

The paradox…is to find

Your identity through Christ’s mind…

Without Him you’ll never

See love forever,

And of yourself you are blind.

Christ said “die to self-love”

But we don’t know what that’s of…

Who ae we really

That God loves us freely,

And visits us like a dove?

He loves us just as we are,

That sounds okay, so far…

Can we take a reprieve

From our view self-deceived

To see who we REALLY are?

So many of us learn

To hide our real selves once burned…

And not recognise

Until we’re surprised

At the strange things that are up-churned.

Turn unto Christ with your pleas

Learning through His eyes who He sees…

Peter learned pride

And fear were inside,

Experiencing a lake in a strong breeze!

What else did he learn, let’s ask,

While following  Christ was his task…

He was impulsive, true,

But humility came through,

Remembering performance in his past.

In order to give your life you must live,

Prepared to learn what God gives…

Learn thyself well

To escape from Hell,

As choosing your whole self to give.
