‘TWEEN HIGHWAY AND RAMP

‘TWEEN HIGHWAY AND RAMP:

Wonders tend to appear,

Wild turkeys or white-tailed deer…

Feeding on grasses

As traffic passes,

Are seasonal visits here!

No one I know has disturbed

This haven in  the suburbs…

Traffic roar

They’ve heard before,

No reason to be unnerved.

Sometimes my hopes advanced,

See a turkey when it’s just a tree branch…

Serendipity

Isn’t scheduled you see,

Be ready–for the world is our ranch!

IN-BETWEEN SNACKS

IN-BETWEEN SNACKS

Deer and turkeys gather to snack

In-between the highway and the exit ramp….

Depending on the food source,

In there they will camp….

In-between the highway and the exit ramp!

IN THE SUNSET SKY…

IN THE SUNSET SKY…

The height of serendipities,

A hot air balloon above the trees…

Basks in sunset glow,

Pushed by air flow,

Handsome way to take your life in tow!

SERENDIPITOUS MISTAKES

SERENDIPITOUS MISTAKES

He knew he’d paid a lot,

For the special device he’d got…

When the package came through

There were, in fact, two–

His first thought was…THANKS A LOT!

Electrical backup–her chair–

Would work with no power there….

A powered C-PAP

Was now a snap,

The reason of which he’d been unaware.

His own sleeping is easier,

His C-PAP won’t stop when it’s breezier….

Enough to bring down

Power poles in town,

With the second back-up–a pleaser!

ALL TANKED UP?

ALL TANKED UP?

Coincidence compares,

Last night raised a few hairs…

On the neck

In my homeward trek,

While breathing those cool night airs.

A silvery tanker truck passed,

What I remember last…

Was the sign on the back:

“COFFEE”, in fact,

The driver was driving fast!

That night I’d taken pains

Writing about coffee trains…

It seemed to me

Serendipity

To find this tank truck between “drains”.

Whether loaded or empty–no clue–

But the driver knew what to do…

Rush the caffeine

Fruit of the bean,

Before supply runs through!
