ON QUIET PAWS

ON QUIET PAWS

(An Encounter)

On quiet paws it crept around the corner,

Seeing this big guy walking along…

Freezing up thinking it might need a coroner

It heard the man speak in gentle sing-song.

Wasn’t really sure if twas friend or foe

As the man skirted around wide…

Its black and white fur poised to quickly go,

This man made his way and cooed “goodbye”.

2ND SHIFT SING-SONG

2ND SHIFT SING-SONG

(To: “ANIMAL CRACKERS IN MY SOUP”)

“Stella D’Oro” sesame sticks

Give my wife and I tasty kicks,

Bread sticks taste like sesame

Are the best ’cause they are free!

Going to have to fill my cup

With cold coffee and drink it up,

Water dispensers all around

To rinse out those coffee grounds.

Taking a long time til it’s eight

When they must sign out to leave the gate,

Slow enough so I can find

Interesting things from the daily grind!
