RAIN, SLEET–THEN REPEAT

This forecast isn’t nice,

Rain, sleet and ice…

Roads are slick

So get home quick,

Before roads are compromised!

“HEINZ-57” WEATHER

“HEINZ-57” WEATHER

Don’t want to complain my friends,

But New England weather tends…

To often be

Full of variety,

Whatever the overcast sends.

This morning we started with rain,

Snow flakes and sleet once again…

Often all three

In waves like the sea,

The morning a dreary refrain.

It stopped in the afternoon,

The sunlight made its way out soon…

Our roads will have dried

By my midnight ride,

Any black ice well-lit by the moon!

OUR NEW STORM IS HERE!

OUR NEW STORM IS HERE!

(sung to “Oh Susanna!”)

Our latest storm has found its way

To our neighborhood…

Rhode Island has begun to sleet,

Having all snow is good!

Oh, the snowfall

Is fast enough for me…

But will the snow be plowed enough,

When I drive off at three?

I shoveled out the exit ramp,

The muscles hurt me so…

I started on the front walkway,

Rob said that I could go!

Oh, this snowstorm

Is fast enough for me…

I wonder if the roads are plowed

When I leave for work at three?

It seems to be letting up,

We sure don’t need the rain…

Wet, slippery slush is hazardous

Makes driving a real pain!

Oh, this snowstorm

Has dumped enough for me…

I wonder if the highway’s plowed

By the time I leave at three?
