The Good Old Days
–
The good old days..
When a man shook your hand
And looked you in the eye;
When a man gave his word
He kept it, he would not lie.
Oh, how I miss those good old days…
Yes those good old days
With truth, honor and family pride.
How I long for those good old days.
The good old days;
Where kids could run and play,
And they could laugh all day.
They’d have a lemonade stand,
On sometimes a fat old snowman.
Oh, how I miss those good old days…
Yes those good old days
With truth, honor and family pride.
How I long for those good old days.
In the good old days;
Mom and Dad respected each other,
Loved and supported one another.
They showed their kids a better way,
Taught them how to kneel and pray.
In the good old days….
Take me back to the good old days.
How I miss those good old days…
Yes those good old days
With truth, honor and family pride.
How I long for those good old days.
