SKIRTING THE ISSUE

SKIRTING THE ISSUE!

The young woman twirled  her skirts

Like a girl dancer flirts…

To catch an eye

Or two mid-fly,

Prompting jealous hurts.

–Jonathan Caswell

Swirling skirts catch eyes

Feminine wiles luring guys…

Or just feeling free???

–J.E.C.

Liking skirt patterns

Made of cotton or of silk,

Patterned skirts look nice:

Not all tight skirts  are welcome,

Flowing skirts billowing cool.

–Jonathan Caswell

MORNING MELODY

MORNING MELODY

Singing words of hope

Gratitude and grace abound

Morning melody

Putting God before all else

Singing praise to Him alone!

–Jonathan Caswell

TOYING WITH TANKA

TOYING WITH TANKA

Been taken as a fool

A two-hundred dollar school,

Burning with laughter

Their laughter–smiling at me

Smilingly to the bank vault!

–J.E.C.

Successful robins

Pulling worms out at their will

Feeding generation

Filling nests of happy broods

Serenading the damp woods!

–J.E.C.
