OTTERS CYCLING

OTTERS CYCLING

(T0: “Grandma’s in the Cellar”, without the chorus!)

Just outside ships’ mooring,

A sea otter’s exploring

Kelp to make a fine breakfast from the sea…

Whether oyster or crab

It’s whatever he can grab,

For a table he can use his belly!

There comes another otter,

Can this old boy spot her

Aiming for a tickle from the underneath?

He loses his meal

For the lure of sex appeal,

As he settles for an interlude too brief!

These two feast together

On their backs in good weather

While they each open shells for something sweet…

Their brood is all around

Exploring the kelp ground,

As a new otter cycle is complete!
