LOVELY JEANS SO YOUNG

Lovely jeans so young,

Flaunting their curves is fun…

They’ll flop and fly

By the age I,

Enjoy seeing jeans so young!

How is it girls learn their tush,

Can pose in provocative push…

Body pride

Appreciatively eyed,

Leaves in a comparative rush.

Oh, being young and limber,

Shivering men’s timbers…

There’ll be a time

That this was prime,

In youth’s dying embers!

FLOWERS OPENING AT SPRING-TIME

FLOWERS OPENING AT SPRING-TIME

Driving on the way to work

I saw a flower op’ning…

Running along the near sidewalk

With ponytail behind jolting.

Oh, to be young and fresh once more,

To run in sheer abandon…

Crocuses and dandelions too

Will push up as though random!

I cannot run like that,

It is not of my choosing…

I have grown too stiff and fat

And my youth I’m losing!

NO PORSCHE FOR HIM!

NO PORSCHE FOR HIM!

When left to his own devises,

He thought he had a mid-life crisis…

His red Porsche went

With the money all spent,

On higher living-cost prices.

Realized he was no longer young

And had to hold his tongue…

Letting youth

Find its own truth,

Not wanting his older wisdom.

The man was really shocked

At the age of his cultural clock…

What youngsters found keen

He thought crass and mean,

He wouldn’t buy ANY of that stock!

At heart he couldn’t have an affair,

He didn’t want to hurt his wife there…

Even if he would

With no guarantee he “could”,

The price was too much to bear.

He’ll just have to write poetry,

And deal with it artistically…

Somehow he’ll get through

With the same woman too,

The attainment of “youth” isn’t free!
