ACCORDING TO THE BLACKSTONE VALLEY TRIBUNE:
On page five of this week’s TRIBUNE,
It’s NOODLE MONTH, but it’s ending soon…
Oh why did they wait
For this very late date,
In three days, how many noodles can we consume?
–
Karen Trainor, of the column “Take The Hint”,
Her picture almost shows an impish glint…
Equates pasta with noodles,
Providing history doodles
Though the “Oodles” people may give some dissent.
–
She says Jefferson’s dinner in Naples
Led to pastas being staples…
At American feasts
Of macaroni treats,
Nowadays, it fills many tables.
–
On rice noodles she’s oddly silent,
On that history I hope she’s reliant…
Rice noodles can
Be served up grand,
I hope, instead of pasta, she’ll try it!
