My wife has the rest of the pineapple,

In her batch of baked beans…

I almost added quinoa

The dish might have burst at the seams.

My wife precooks the bacon,

Reducing the content of grease…

Saving the drippings for later

And another masterpiece!

By the time I get home it’ll be ready,

To sample before my  dreams…

If she makes me sleep elsewhere

We can always blame the beans!
