I caught a fragranced breeze,

Perfumed air meant to please…

The flowers are real,

With sniffer appeal

Not hybrids that only tease!

We can’t always get what we want

Planting lots of flowers to flaunt…

Longer-lasting plants

Often lose their scents

During the cross-breeding jaunt.

It’s hard to know always

Whether scented flowers will be raised….

Is it higher cost

For scent not lost,

And floras made for corporate glades?
